What is NovemBEARD?

NovemBEARD is an annual charity event that my friend Jessica and I began in 2015. Since then we have raised over $2,000 for the American Cancer Society! When my dad was diagnosed with cancer that same year, we felt that we had to do something to give back. I had a hard time sitting back and not being able to contribute good to this horrible sickness. Jessica and I are very close with our dad’s and realized there wasn’t much out there for the men to do to feel pampered, so we had this crazy idea. Let’s offer the bearded men in our community a free beard trim, line-up, and photo…then let’s convince them to stuff their beards with flowers! The funny thing was that we didn’t have to do much convincing! Men from all over Nebraska have showed up for the support of the American Cancer Society for three years now! After stuffing their beards, we take their photo and let the community vote by dollar for their favorite beards! We have reached our goal every year and can’t wait to see what this can grow to be!

HOW IT WORKS

-You and your beard show up or Sign Up for a time below
-The beard gets a free trim/line up from our talented barbers
-We stuff your beard full of flowers
-Ali takes your picture and posts to her website for online voting to raise funds for American Cancer Society!
-Enjoy a complimentary cocktail made by Kendall Kocktails
-The beard that raises the most $ receives a free family shoot by Ali!
-Hors d'oeuvres provided!
